Idly’s are always best food for any age people or kids. Rava idli is one of the easy and instant recipe. It is also healthy breakfast. It has different taste from traditional idli.

Ingredients:

  • Rava/ Semolina – 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Mustard – 1 tsp
  • Urad and chana dal – 1 tbsp each
  • Carrot – 1 fully shredded
  • Ginger -1 tsp
  • Curry leaves few
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Curd – 1.5 cup
  • Corainder leaves – few
  1. In a pan add oil, mustard, urad and chana dal.
  2. Fry for a min Add curry leaves and ginger.
  3. Add cashews. Saute.
  4. Then add shredded carrot and turmeric. Cook for 2mins.
  5. Add rava and roast well.
  6. Transfer to bowl and add coriander leaves & salt.
  7. Add curd and mix them well.
  8. Now add 3/4th cup of water and form thick batter.
  9. Rest for 15mins.
  10. Now again add 1/4th cup of water and make it idly bater consistency.
  11. Grease idly plate and pour a ladleful of batter.
  12. Steam them for 15mins.
  13. Serve the idly with chutney and sambar.
