Gobi (cauliflower) 65 is a crispy appetizer. It is a popular starters in restaurants. Cauliflower has always been almost one of the favorite veggie for all. Esp. when u deep fry it. It is a very good combination for fried rice or as starters. When this is sauteed in sauces and garnished with spring onions it is gobi manchurian.

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower – 1 cut into medium florets.
  • Rice flour – 1 cup
  • Corn flour – 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ginger garlic and 1 green chilli paste – 1 tsp
  • Water – to form
  • Batter Oil – for deep frying.
  1. In a bowl add the cauliflower florets and pour hot water and add salt.Let it blanch for 5mins.
  2. In another bowl add rice flout, corn flour, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt & ginger garlic paste .
  3. Add water and make a thick batter.
  4. Dry out cauliflower from water and drop them to batter and coat them well.
  5. In a kadai add oil.
  6. Once oil is nicely hot start adding the batter coated cauliflower and fry them till crisp.
  7. Transfer to plate once done.
  8. Serve as a snack or with pulao.
