Ingredients:
- Chow Chow – 300gms
- Dry red chillies: 8
- Urad dhall – 2 tbsp
- Chana dhall – 2 tbsp
- Tamarind – small piece
- Salt to taste
- Oil
- To temper: Mustard seeds – 1 tsp Urad dhall- 1 tsp
- In a pan add oil. Then add urad dhall, chana dhall, red chillies, tamarind and roast them until golden.
- Add the chopped chow chow and mix well.
- Close and cook for until the veggie is soft.
- Keep stirring in between.
- Once done put them in blender and add salt and hing.
- Grind them to coarse paste. Do not add water when you grind.
- Add oil in tadka pan.
- Add mustard & urad dhall .
- Add them to thogaiyal and mix well.
- Serve this thogaiyal with hot rice and smear some gingely oil.
