Pani Puri | Golgappa | Sundal Puri | Coimbatore Pani Puri | Street Side Pani Puri |

I got this recipe from one of my close friend. Pani Puri is one the famous street food of North India. Instead for the pani i replaced with Sundal. Lets try this different recipe. Ingredients:

  • To make Sundal:
  • Dry Peas – 2 cups
  • Salt
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala 2 tbsp
  • Water 1 cup
  1. Soak dry green peas overnight and pressure cook 3whistles.
  2. In a vessel add water.
  3. Add salt, red chilli powder and garam masala
  4. Let it boil for 15mins.
  5. Now add the pressure cooked sundal and boil for few mins.
  6. Turn off and set aside.
  • To make puris:
  • Rava/Semolina – 1 cup
  • Maida/Allpurpose flour – 3 tbsp
  • Oil for deep frying.
  1. In a bowl add semolina/ rava, Maida and oil 3 tbsp.
  2. Mix them well.
  3. Now add water little by little and make a soft dough.
  4. Rest it for 20mins.
  5. Take the dough and roll it to thin layer with roller pin.
  6. With cookie cutter or any desired small circle cut the dough to small circles.
  7. In a kadai add oil for deep frying.
  8. Once oil is hot start adding puris one by one and fry both sides to slight brown.
  • Lets start the Plating:
  • In a plate add the puris and break in the centre.
  • Add sundal, shredded carrot, onions, again sundal.
  • Garnish with Coriander leaves.
  • Enjoi the Sundal Puri in a different way.
