Ingredients:
- Yam/Senaikizhangu (used frozen 2 pckts.)
- Salt as required
- Tamarind paste -1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder
- Turmeric
- Curry leaves
- Hing
- Oil 4 tbsp
- Mustars – 1 tsp
- In a pan add oil. Once oil is hot add mustard seeds and splutter
- Add chopped yam or senaikizhangu
- Add tamarind paste or tamarind juice.
- Mix them well. Close and cook them for about 5-6 mins.
- Add salt, red chilli powder and turmeric.
- Close and cook for another 5 mins on medium flame.
- Now open and keep cooking them until they are nicely roasted.
- Add hing and curry leaves and mix well.
- Serve with any rice.
