Pesarattu | Moong dal dosa | Andhra Pesarattu | How to make pesarattu | No fermenting Dosa |

Pesarattu is a protein rich dosa which does not needs any fermenting process. It is made with Whole green gram dosa which is loaded with proteins.. They are usually grind with green chillies, ginger and moong dal.

Ingredients:

  • Whole Green gram dal – 2 cups
  • Moong dal – 1/3 cup
  • Raw rice – 1/4 cup
  • Green chillies – 4
  • Ginger 1 piece
  • Salt
  • Onions 1/2 cup chopped
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Oil or ghee
  1. In a bowl add whole green gram dal, moong dal, raw rice and soak for 5hrs or overnight.
  2. In a blender add the soaked dal, ginger and green chillies.
  3. Grind them to smooth batter
  4. Transfer to bowl. Add cumin, salt and mix well.
  5. Adjust to dosa batter consistency.
  6. Heat a dosa tawa and add a ladleful batter and spread into thin layer.
  7. This is optional. You can add finely chopped onions over the dosa.
  8. Smear with some oil or ghee.
  9. Allow to cook golden color.
  10. Fold and transfer to plate.
  11. Serve the pesarattu with any chutney.
