Ingredients:
- Idly – 6
- Oil for deep frying
- Gun powder/Idli podi – as required.
- Cut the idlies into lengthwise pieces.
- Transfer to a plate.
- In a pan add enough oil to deep fry the idli in batches.
- Once oil is hot start dropping the islies.
- Fry them golden both sides
- Remove from oil and transfer to plate
- Sprinkle some gun powder and mix well.
- Serves them hot.
- Note: You can reduce the gun powder as required.
- Also if serving for kids can avoid the gun powder.
- When you remove from oil, sprinkle the gun powder immediately.
- You can also shred some cheese for kids.
