Potatoes are one of the favorite vegetable for all. I don’t think there is anyone who says “i don’t like Potatoes”. The very first vegetable I love like anything. Potato fry is a good combination for any Indian dishes. We prepare potato fry almost once a week.

  • Serves: 3 Persons.

Ingredients:

  • Potato – 6 nos.
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder – as required
  • Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Oil – 3tbsp
  • Cumin – 1/2 tsp
  1. Pressure cook 6 potatoes with little salt for 2 whistles.
  2. Peel their skin and cut into cubes.
  3. In a cup add chilli powder, salt & turmeric powder and mix them well.
  4. Add oil in a heavy bottomed pan.
  5. Add cumin and then the mix powders.
  6. Saute them for a min in medium flame.
  7. Add chopped potatoes and mix them well until potatoes are coated with the masala.
  8. Always cook on medium flame for 6mins. Stir them inbetween.
  9. Add hing and cook until potatoes are roasted well.
  10. Turn off the flame once roasted.
  11. Serve the potato hot rice or chapathi too.
