Ingredients:
- Onion – 1 roughly chopped
- Ginger 1 piece
- Garlic 4 pods
- Coriander handful
- Spinach leaves – 10to 12
Add these to blender and grind to smooth paste.
- Basmati rice – 1 cup (wash and soak)
- Ghee 2 tbsp
- Cinnamon – 1 stick
- Mace 1 piece
- Bay leaf 1
- Shahi jeera – 1 tsp
- Green chillies 2
- Frozen peas – 1/2 cup
- Turmeric
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- In a pressure cooker add ghee, cinnamon stick, mace, bay leaf, shahi jeera and green chillies. Fry them for a min
- Add frozen peas and mix.
- Now add the grind spinach paste.
- Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala.
- Add water one cup and salt to taste
- Once water boils add the soaked rice. Mix well.
- Pressure cook 15mins on medium flame and 5 mins low flame.
- Garnish with cashew and fried onions.
