Mango Phirni is another version of traditional phirni. Phirni are usually prepared during eid or Ramazan month as iftar recipes. Phirni are combination of milk and rice paste. As mango season is on d way decided to make yummy mango phirni.

Ingredients:

  • Rice – 1/3 cup
  • Water to soak
  • Cashews and Almond for soaking few.
  • Milk – 1.5 ltrs
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Saffron milk – 2tbsp
  • Mango pulp 2 cups
  • Cashews and Almond chopped – few
  1. Soak rice for 30mins in water
  2. Soak few cashews and almond in water for 30mins
  3. Once done grind rice to coarse paste and set aside
  4. Peel almond skin and grind it with cashew to smooth paste. Set aside
  5. In a wipe pan add milk and allow it boil.
  6. Once boiled simmer 15mins.
  7. When the milk quantity reduces add the rice paste.
  8. Keep stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  9. Once milk gets thicker add sugar and stir until it dissolves.
  10. Add Saffron milk and cashew almond paste.
  11. Mix them well.
  12. Simmer for 15mins. Stir occasionally.
  13. Once milk starts getting thicker add mango pulp and mix well.
  14. Transfer to serving bowl and refrigerate for 2hrs.
  15. Garnish with few chopped nuts .
  16. Serve cold mango phirni.
  • Notes:
  • It taste good when you prepare with whole milk
  • Sugar can be reduced according to your taste. Also can be replaced with little condensed milk
  • It taste good only when you serve it chilled.
