Ingredients:
- Cabbage – 1 fully chopped
- Oil
- Mustard
- Dry Red chillies -2
- Curry leaves few
- Salt
- Urad dal – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin – 1 tsp
- Water 1/4 cup
- Coconut – 2 cups
- In a pan add oil. Once oil is hot add mustard seeds. Splutter
- Add cumin, urad dal, dry red chillies and curry leaves. Fry for a min
- Add chopped cabbage. and mix well.
- Add salt as required and sprinkle 1/4 cup water.
- Close and cook for 10mins.
- Add shedded coconut and mix well.
- Turn off and transfer to bowl.
- Serve with any rice or sambar.
- Note: You can also add frozen peas.
- Also some people prefer onion. Saute onion and then add cabbage.
- Make sure water is fully evaporated before adding coconut.
- Shredded or chopped carrot can be added.
