Summer is here. It’s Mango season. Mango halwa is one mouth-watering recipe. You just need 3 ingredients. It is an easy and so delicious recipe too.

  • Serves: 18 pieces of halwa.

Ingredients:

  • Mango Pulp – 2 cups
  • Ghee – 1/2 cup
  • Corn flour – 1/4 cup
  • Water
  • Saffron few strands
  • Mixed nuts.
  • Sugar- 1 cup
  1. Peel the skin of mangoes and cut to pieces.
  2. Grind them to smooth paste.
  3. In a pan add 1/4 cup ghee and and mango pulp.
  4. Cook on medium flame and bring the pulp to boil.
  5. In a bowl add corn flour and water and mix to nice paste without any lumps.
  6. Add the corn flour paste to mango pulp and keep stirring to avoid forming lumps.
  7. After some time mango pulp will start getting thicker.
  8. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves with pulp.
  9. Keep stirring and add ghee every 5 mins interval.
  10. Ghee will keep blending with mango pulp at starting stage.
  11. Add saffron and mixed nuts and mix well.
  12. Once the ghee starts oozing out of the halwa, the halwa has reached he consistency.
  13. Turn off the flame.
  14. Grease a bowl with ghee and transfer the halwa to the bowl.
  15. Cool down completely and cut to desired size.
  16. Serve the halwa.
