Pizza love or Pizza craving has always been there. My mom is against when pizza is made with maida. She will say its not good for health. So decided to make Whole wheat pizza. It came out so yummy and delicious. Also another way to use all veggies. Lets see the recipe.

  • Course: Dinner
  • Prep time: 15mins + 1.5 hrs
  • Cook time: 20mins
  • Serves: 8 Slices.

Ingredients:

  • Warm water -3/4th cup
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Instant Yeast – 1 tsp
  • Whole Wheat flour – 1.5 cups
  • Salt as required

For Toppings:

  • Pizza sauce ( i used Marinara sauce)
  • Shredded cheese
  • Olives
  • Jalapeños
  • Capsicum
  • Onion
  • Fresh corn

For paneer marination:

  • Panner cubes – 2 cups
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • Curd – 1/2 cup
  1. In a bowl add warm water, sugar and yeast. Rest them for 10-15mins. They should have bubbles formed. If not discard and do it again fresh.
  2. Once yeast is activated, add whole wheat flour and salt. Knead them to form soft dough. Cover and rest them for 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs.
  3. In another bowl add panner cubes. Add all dry powders and curd. Mix them well and rest them for 30mins.
  4. Once the wheat dough has doubled the size , it is ready for making pizza crust.
  5. Now grease the Pizza tray with oil and smear some rava or corn meal.
  6. Roll the wheat dough to little thick by rolling pin.
  7. Add some Pizza sauce over the crust. Add chopped onions, capsicum, marinated paneer, olives, jalapeños and fresh corn.
  8. Sprinkle generous amount of shredded cheese over the pizza.
  9. Preheat oven at 400 F and bake for 18-20 mins
  10. Once baking is completed cut them to slices.
  11. Serve hot Pizza.
  • Note:
  • You can any veggies as you like.
  • If you do not have pizza sauce, You can take tomato ketchup mix with some herbs and use that.
  • Alternatively for baking, heat a kadai for 5mins and place the pizza in a greased plate and cook for 30mins on low flame.
